Upcoming Meetings

Open Meetings of Technical Committees

The Technical Committees of the Acoustical Society of America will hold open meetings on Tuesday, 8 June, 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, 10 June, 5:00 p.m. (Note special starting times for Noise and Speech Communication below).

These are working, collegial meetings. Much of the work of the Society is accomplished by actions that originate and are taken in these meetings including proposals for special sessions, workshops, and technical initiatives.

All meeting participants are cordially invited to attend these meetings and to participate actively in the discussion and to become more involved in the ASA and its technical activities.

See the list below for the schedule, links to technical committee webpages, and the Chairs of the committees.

Committees meeting on Tuesday, 8 June, at 6:00 p.m. and their chairs

Acoustical Oceanography – Grant Deane
Animal Bioacoustics – Marla Holt
Architectural Acoustics – Ana Jaramillo
Engineering Acoustics – Michael Haberman
Physical Acoustics – Joel Mobley
Psychological and  Physiological Acoustics – Virginia Best
Signal Processing in Acoustics – Brian Anderson
Structural Acoustics and  Vibration – Robert Koch

Committees meeting on Thursday, 10 June, at 5:00 p.m.

Biomedical Acoustics – Kenneth Bader
Musical Acoustics – Andrew Piacsek
Noise  – James Phillips  (meeting starts at 4:30 p.m.)
Speech Communication – Rajka Smiljanic (meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.)
Underwater Acoustics – Benjamin Reeder

Plenary Session and Awards Ceremony

The Plenary Session and Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, 4 June, 3:30 p.m., prior to Acoustics in Focus Week.  It will be an open meeting so all ASA members can attend.  Additional details will be added soon.
