ASA Filings of IRS Form 990, “Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax”
Form 990 is an information form required to be filed annually with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by most organizations like ASA that are exempt from income tax. The form reports on ASA’s activities, finances, governance, compliance with certain federal tax filings, and compensation paid to certain persons. Because the form is publicly available, it also provides an opportunity for ASA to report on its activities for acoustics and funding provided to individuals and organizations in fulfillment of its mission.
