Scope of ISO/TC 108, Mechanical vibration, shock, and condition monitoring
Standardization in the field of mechanical vibration and shock and condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines, including:
- terminology;
- excitation by sources, such as machines and vibration and shock testing devices;
- elimination, reduction and control of vibration and shock, especially by balancing, isolation and damping;
- measurement and evaluation of human exposure to vibration and shock;
- methods and means of measurement and calibration;
- methods of testing;
- methods of measurement, handling and processing of the data required to perform condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines.

U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 108/SC 5, Condition monitoring and diagnostics of machine systems
Chair: D.J. Vendittis
email:DVendittis@aol.com
Scope of ISO/TC 108/SC 5
Standardization of the procedures, processes and equipment requirements uniquely related to the technical activity of condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines in which selected physical parameters associated with an operating machine are periodically or continuously sensed, measured and recorded for the interim purpose of reducing, analyzing, comparing and displaying the data and information so obtained and for the ultimate purpose of using this interim result to support decisions related to the operation and maintenance of the machine.
U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 43, Acoustics
Chair: R.D. Hellweg
email: Hellweg@HellwegAcoustics.com
Vice Chair: C.J. Struck
email: cjs@cjs-labs.com
Scope of ISO/TC 43, Acoustics
Standardization in the field of acoustics, including methods of measuring acoustical phenomena, their generation, transmission and reception, and all aspects of their effects on man and his environment. Excluded: electro-acoustics and the implementation of specifications of the characteristics of measuring instruments for acoustic purposes.
U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 43/SC 1, Noise
Chair: R.D. Hellweg

Vice Chair: Stephen J. Lind
email: stephen.j.lind.ut88@gmail.com
Scope of ISO/TC 43/SC 1, Noise
Standardization in the field of noise in all aspects, including methods of measurement of noise produced by diverse sources in diverse environments and assessment of the effects of sound on man.
U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 43/SC 3, Underwater Acoustics
TAG Chair: A. Beaudry
Email: allanb@noise-control.com
Scope of ISO/TC 43/SC 3:
Standardization in the field of underwater acoustics (including natural, biological, and anthropogenic sound), including methods of measurement and assessment of the generation, propagation and reception of underwater sound and its reflection and scattering in the underwater environment including the seabed, sea surface and biological organisms, and also including all aspects of the effects of underwater sound on the underwater environment, humans and aquatic life.
