POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Coordinate, schedule, and conduct testing through the laboratory by effective communication with laboratory staff and clients (internal and external), in accordance with the laboratory’s written test procedures
  • Accomplish Acoustic Laboratory financial/managerial reporting using company approved management
  • Assist in development of SOPs and maintenance of Management Program related to Quality
  • All other activities necessary to support development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and programs addressing operational issues encumbered by the Quality Policy statement
  • Develop written test methods that properly implement requirements of industry test standards for which the laboratory maintains accreditation
  • Maintain familiarity with acoustic test standards for which the laboratory is accredited and monitor ongoing development of these standards by attending industry standard working group meetings such as ASTM E33 subcommittee meetings
  • Interface with NVLAP on periodic assessments with respect to issues concerning quality procedures and their implementation
  • Address issues raised by internal audits and NVLAP assessments with respect to issues concerning quality procedures and their implementation
  • All other activities necessary to support development, maintenance, and implementation of ARL quality policies and programs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Acoustics or Engineering or 10+ years equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ of relevant experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Acoustics or Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience
